100% Wool Designer Felt

Our designer felt is ideal for acoustic stretch wall systems, upholstered walls, acoustical panels, architectural products and a wide variety of other applications.

A 100% biodegradable, natural wool made in a traditional nonwoven process. Non-woven materials are ideal for CNC cutting and layering.

AireFelt™ is also a perfect fit for acoustic applications. The nature of the wool fibers absorb noise more effectively than synthetic material. AireFelt™ has a highly permeable surface which allows sound energy to flow through freely. When assembled to specific specifications of mounting type and with particular acoustic cores, an AireFelt™ assembly is able to achieve greater than 1.00 NRC in accordance to ASTM C423.

Variation

100% Wool Felt is a natural material, therefore the absorption of dyes can vary and color consistency cannot be guaranteed. Color matching will be more noticeable beyond the normal commercial range. Due to the natural make up of wool felt, material can shrink or expand when exposed to changes in climates. Material dimensions can change up to +/- 5%. To reduce the risk of size variation, it is recommended to unroll the material and let it acclimate for a few hours.
